Why Camphor Comes In Different Forms
Camphor can be supplied as crystalline masses, slabs, irregular pieces, powder, blocks or pressed tablets. The format depends on production, purification, transport and the way a brand expects the customer to portion and use the product. Form is useful information, but it is not the same as composition.
Soft Slabs And Irregular Pieces
Bhimseni camphor is commonly encountered as translucent slabs or uneven pieces. A soft slab can be broken by hand so only a small amount is placed in the burner. Natural variation in edge, thickness and size is normal for this format.
Uniform Tablets
Tablets are designed for convenience and consistent portioning. They are pressed or formed to a repeatable size. Some tablet products may contain only camphor, while others may use processing aids or additional ingredients. The label, not the shape, should answer that question.
What About Camphor Balls
Perfectly rounded balls are another manufactured presentation. They should not be confused with the irregular pieces produced when a soft slab is broken. A round shape does not automatically mean synthetic, and an irregular shape does not automatically prove natural origin.
Why Burning Behaviour Can Differ
The size and surface area of a piece affect how quickly it warms or burns. Added flowers and spices can leave natural botanical material in the top dish. Burner design, sample quantity and airflow also change flame and residue, so comparing two formats without controlled conditions is misleading.
The Lumora Format
Lumora uses visible, irregular Bhimseni camphor pieces rather than depicting the product as uniform white balls. The pieces are blended with clearly declared botanicals. Use only a few pieces at a time, keep the jar closed between uses and follow normal fire-safety precautions.
